SG Study Groups

Some people have approached us about the idea of Sacred Geometry Study Groups...
We immensely encourage this intiative:
Yes, co-create your own mini vortex of Harmony!

Studying SG with a group approach is a wonderful way
of mutual support & encouragement.

It is actually the best way to ensure that you make consistent progress
because the group will provide a consistent framework.
Depending on your time, agenda & energy, you will follow or lead the group
and the group's dynamics will multiply the perspectives & motivations.

This can be extremely unique & creative:
it can be a SG PLAY GROUP!

Below are some ideas to optimize the experience...

Organization of group.
• Check the level of commitment. There is a lot more involved in SG than taking an extraneous night class at the community college. SG is about expanding awareness, changing perception of reality and ultimately entering a consciousness of harmonic oneness.
• Decide on a schedule. Once a week is good. Realize that this is an ongoing vision quest that will touch all aspects of your life: conscious, subconscious, emotional, mental, spiritual... as well as the "dreamtime". In fact, the entire time in between "classes" is a class as well.
• Assign "functions" and jobs to members. get them involved. Some sort of "organizer"/"secretary" is needed to notify, follow up on whatever program of study has been decided upon, copy documents, collect questions & answers etc... No need to take precise "minutes" but maybe note the dynamics of the group, the main directions of interest, action items, "homework" for next session etc...
• Depending on the skills & knowledge of members, a distribution of tasks can happen: a science-oriented member will study in advance the science aspects and stand up to explain them to others... same for the artist/musician in the group etc...  so that each one can benefit from all the others as well as bring their own contribution.

Resources.
• The most motivated student should sign up for a Certification Module in order to get access to all the SG existing modules. If more than one person wants to be officially certified, they need to get their own certification package. Or the group can sign up under one person's name and help one pioneer to go through the certification steps, yet all members can learn together.
• Only the certification package has the certification module. This homework study help is important for group learning as it has quizzes (with their amswers) and various study resources.
• After purchasing the Certification package, check that the online PowerPoint modules work. You can view the ispring online version but we strongly suggest that you download each module onto the group's computer. Of course, you need Microsioft Office PowerPoint to view the modules. (There maybe some minor glitches in formatting but it works fine according to feedback. If any major glitch, kindly notify Aya).

• Make sure you have a digital projector with a large screen - and a laser pointer that can be passed around.

• The certification Module can be printed out and distributed after viewing it as a group in the very first meeting. It is a handy reference for general study suggestions, practices (for each module) and later for quizzes...
• As classroom reference material, it is suggested to progressively order the printed 14 SG Module Books.
www.schoolofsacredgeometry.org/index.php?p=sgbooks
• The certification is only applying to Intro Level 1 (101-108) as level 2 is not completed yet, but access to & use of the Level 2 modules is essential to apply the basic principles to the contemporary world and to nature... More modules will be issued in "harmonic time"...
• Also print out from the website the general and detailed contents of all the modules:
http://www.schoolofsacredgeometry.org/index.php?p=curriculum
• You might also want to print out from the website and/or directly wi-fi display on the screen the pages : What Is SG? / The New Paradigm / Latest Modules...
• You might decide on some reading from the suggested books and assign a book per member for later review during a group session...
• Get each member to actively use a SG Notebook to regroup study material and personal notes...

Meetings.
• Initial meeting. Clarify all the above. View the Certification module & discuss study strategies... Navigate the SG school website... Decide on personal/group goals and best way to meet them and check on them periodically...
• Second meeting. The best starter is SG103, a general overview of basic principles & examples in various domains. It is designed to be just that: a stand-alone panoramic introduction. You can invite external guests...
• Third meeting can be the start of the systematic progressive study: 101 - 102 - 104 etc... It is best to follow up the progression as it builds up.,.
• Some modules are more substantial than others or may be of more interest to the group, but it is suggested that 3 meetings per module is a good dynamic flow:
1. First meeting for general navigation of the module;
2. 2nd meeting to go more into details, practices (re-tracing of diagrams, constructions...), web searches or internet additions, member contributions etc...
3. 3rd meeting is to review the module with all the new perspectives, discuss questions, take the quizzes and quizz each other...
• It is important to remember to develop personal lines of interest (to awake the wonder of the cosmic child inside) as well as practical applications of SG insights to daily life...
• Write down questions to email Aya (dedicated email) if there is no group clarity.
• A Blog Study Program is planned on the school website and will be announced. There also will be pages with a reference library and various resources to draw from (such as acauiring a set of Zometools in  order to build SG volumes in 3D.
• After 2-3 modules (every 5-6 weeks), an "orientation" meeting is auspicious in order to assess the progress & goal attainment, verify the satisfaction of members, optimize the strategies, re-assign functions, listen to reading or synchronistic reports...
• Also, start to think about the subject of a small research project for the member who purchased the certification package.

Certification.
• There is a lot of material to go through in the 14 existing modules. The priority though is on the first 8 modules of Level 1. The Level 2  (Intermediate) is not completed yet (and the existing modules do not have quizzes etc...) but the new modules of Level 2 are essential to supplement & complement the Level 1 modules. It is suggested to go through them as best as possible in order to widely enhance the understanding of the first 8 modules.
• A Partial (Level 1) Certification will be offered & celebrated at the time of completion of Level 1.

Future Developments.
• At any point during the journey of the SG study group, a visit to Sedona for a short (2-4 days) compact SG seminar (combined with visit of the sacred sites in and around Sedona) would be beneficial so that there is a personal contact eye-to-eye and heart-to-heart and visitors can be exposed to the various tools & toys Aya has collected as educational resources. Ask Aya for schedule & possibilities...
• We hope to be able to establish soon a facility where a year-round program of short & long-term seminars can be offered.
• The long-term direction of our vision is to create an International School/Eco-Village of Harmonic Arts wher young people from all over the world can be supported in expanding their innate cosmic creativity & sense of universal Beauty through arts, sciences, music, dances, ceremonial traditions... while living a healthy, eco-green, yogic, meditative & service oriented life style...
• The purpose of the Encyclopedia of SG is to be offered in various commercial printed & media formats, as well as to become a
web database, with searchable features.

Feedback.
We would love to hear from various people experimenting with SG study groups. Specially groups that include children & kids or families...

Okay, that's a first wave of suggestions to be tested,
fine-tuned and amplified...

Kindly let us know how you are playing...

Harmonic Blessings!
